College Football Banter

Tonight I was watching the NFL draft with Dad, and we were talking about Tim Tebow and when he may get drafted, when boom. Denver takes him with #25. I know that Elway was mobile, but Tebow is a head crusher. I hope that he can do that in the NFL. I want him to prove people wrong. I want him to win and be successful. I want him to drop back and throw the ball deep down field. I want him to be Peyton Manning... ok, not really, I would like for him to be Tebow 2.0. new and improved.

First post in a million years

Ok. So this is the kinder, gentler, older, more awesome version of Will Bradley. I have not written on this thing in forever. The sad thing is that I forgot the address of the blog. What makes it worse is that the address is my name. So if anyone still reads this, I am back. I will probably merge my 'new' blog with this one. I am still the same old guy that I have always been. So, yeah. That is all for now. I will try to update this more often. Peace, love, and hand grenades,

For what its worth.

Tonight, just after 12 a.m. "Tookie" Williams will be executed in California. There are two points of view surrounding this. View one is that he should not die, he has done more good than bad. View two is that he should die. The man gunned down four people in two different armed robberies in the early eightys. He has done a good thing while in prison, no doubt. HE KILLED FOUR PEOPLE. His work with anti-gang groups was a great thing. He must pay the penalty for what he did. The death penalty is not a punishment or a deterent, it is a consecuince. What he did was wrong and now he has to pay the price. Maybe it is the justice system's fault for letting him sit in prison for so long. We need quicker times between sentencing and execution. Those are my two cents. Have a great day everybody.

Fist post in over a month

It has been forever since I posted anything on here, so here goes nothing.

Today has been a good day. I woke up and went to my math class and all was good. I got a test back from last week and I made a 75 on it. Its not what I had expected but it was the third highest grade in the class. The good part of this is that our teacher has decided to let us rework the test for extra credit. Thank God for great teachers like Mrs. Moore. I like her a lot. I wrote a short essay for a group research project on Anne Bradstreet and It was quick, painless and enjoyable. Now here in an hour or so I am going to the driving range to whack some golf balls. today has been a good day. Its fall already and it feels great outside. There is nothing like the cool wind blowing across your face. It has been hot, cool, hot, cool, down here lately but at least the gnats and mosquitoes are leaving me alone. darn bugs. yep. I guess that about raps up my daily rant for the month of November, but i will try to write fairly regularly this month. Peace out my brothers.

Random thoughts

I'm sitting here doing nothing and I realize that I have been back at school for a month. I have accomplished nothing. I have gone to class, and learned some stuff that I will probably never use in the "real world", but other than that I have done nothing of importance. I have been fishing once, run one mile, made 2 or 3 new acquaintances, and slept and eaten more than I should have. Its all good. I guess that's what being away at college is all about. Im bored out of my skull half the time. I was walking across campus the other day to my awesome World History I class and realized something. College is kind of like high school. You have groups of students that are all carbon copies of each other that run in packs, kind of like wolves. This is my take on some of the groups that I have seen over the past two years.
  1. The most visible group of people on campus is the 'I wish I was a cowboy redneck' They are identified by their jacked up trucks that cost as much as a small house that was bought and paid for by daddy. They act all cool and wave their rebel flags and blast rap music from their custom sound systems. Both sexes of this group are always seen with a dip of snuff tucked securely into their bottom lip. Rumor has it that their is a large member of this group that climbs up on the flat bed of his truck to get up on his horse.
  2. You have also got your super cool Rico Suave wanna be kids with their Darth Vader helmet looking hair. These guys are gods in their own minds.
  3. You also have your students who's only wish is to get in to UGA 'cause thats where all of the good lookin guy/girls are. They will never be enrolled at Athens because they party everyday, never study and hardly ever go to class.
  4. My personal favorite is the group of kids that love for people to 'not get' them. You know the kind. They are anti-every thing. Your opinion doesnt matter. They think it makes them look cool to be against everything that the system is. They like to cause strife and like to get under people's skin with ideas that they dont even belive in themselves.

Im sorry. Thats just the way that I see things. Where do I fall, I ask myself. I really dont know. I do my studies, go to class, and have a good time when its appropriate. I am addicted to coffee and NCAA 06. Thats about it.
